Factory-Integrated TRZ2 Turbine Gas Meter with EC350 Electronic Volume Corrector
The TRZ-EC350-H brings the EC350's already dominant feature set — field-proven accuracy, flexible field programming, and robust communication and integration options — to the Elster TRZ2 turbine gas meter, pairing the two into a single, standard, ready-to-install package.
Each unit is factory-assembled, plumbed, and tested as a matched system. The EC350 corrector mounts directly to the TRZ2 meter body on a paired stainless steel interface bracket, with a dedicated stainless tubing and fitting kit, routing pressure to the corrector, and a pre-wired IN-S10 pulse connection linking the TRZ2 index to the EC350's volume inputs. All bolts and pressure fittings are sealed from the factory, and the EC350 arrives pre-programmed for both temperature and pressure correction as well as Modbus RS485 RTU.
The result is a fully corrected, custody-transfer-grade turbine metering solution that ships ready to bolt into the line — eliminating the field engineering, tubing fabrication, and corrector setup normally required to pair a volume corrector with a turbine meter.

The EC350 is a rugged, field-programmable electronic volume corrector built for 24/7 outdoor operation. It accepts 1 or 2 pressures through a digital Plug-and-Play pressure transducer and calculates corrected volume per AGA-7, AGA-8 Gross Method 1 & 2, AGA-8 Detailed, and NX-19. On this package it is pre-programmed for combined temperature and pressure correction.
A fully mappable, configurable audit trail supports up to 5 independent logs, viewed through a multi-line, dynamic-contrast LCD keypad interface. Four opto-coupler outputs (3 pulse + 1 alarm) make the unit AMR-ready and compatible with Itron, Sensus, Aclara, and other AMR devices, and it can be configured with an optional cellular radio or landline modem, optional 4–20 mA output, additional RS232/485, or a Mux DI/DO board. Configuration is handled through the IrDA port and Mercury MasterLink software, and high accuracy with long battery life keeps total cost of ownership low across a 10-year recommended calibration interval.

The TRZ2 is a custody-transfer approved turbine gas meter built around Elster's patented measuring cartridge, which delivers repeatable measurement even under non-ideal inlet flow conditions and is decoupled from the meter body to minimize both service time and the impact of ambient temperature changes. Nominal sizes run DN50–150 (2″–6″), with a measuring range up to 1,600 m³/h and an operating pressure up to 100 barg, and the meter carries MID approval for fiscal measurement along with conformity to EN 12261, PED, ASME, ATEX, and IECEx.
A rugged, IP67-rated S1 index head provides an 8-digit mechanical odometer that rotates 350° without breaking seals, and the design retains the uncorrected reading on the odometer in addition to the corrected reading on the EC350. Two low-frequency pulse outputs (IN-S10) are standard, with up to four high-frequency outputs available, and an integral thermowell is built into the meter housing.
