PSX3 Standalone Slam Shut Valve

The BelGAS PSX3 standalone slam shut valve is built for wherever instantaneous termination of pressure transference is needed. Operating on preset values, the PSX3 automatically stops downstream flow the instant pipeline pressure exceeds the upper set limit or drops below the lower set limit — protecting downstream equipment from overpressure and ensuring gas flow shuts down if pressure drops below what's needed to maintain pilot light or critical flow. Once tripped, the PSX3 requires a manual reset before flow can resume, so the system stays shut down until it's been inspected and confirmed safe.
We carry the PSX3 in OPSO (overpressure shut-off), UPSO (underpressure shut-off), and combined OPSO/UPSO configurations, across all available spring ranges. The valve comes in either internal or external pressure registration, with easy conversion between the two — so one unit can be field-configured to match your application without ordering a different model.
As a standalone slam shut, the PSX3 can be installed independently or paired with a separate regulator to add a dedicated layer of overpressure/underpressure protection anywhere code or good practice calls for it — gate stations, farm taps, and any setup where you want shut-off protection isolated from the regulating function itself.
